Baccalaureate will be held May 26th at 7:00 pm at the South Whitley United Methodist Church.  This is a time to be honored as a graduate and to look ahead to your future.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Hinthorn.

The 1st Annual Whitko Extreme Challenge is on Saturday, June 13, 2015 starting at 9:00 am.  This will be a 5K mud run with 10 obstacles and will take place at the Middle School.  It is open to the public so get your friends and family members to put on an old pair of shoes and have some fun.  For more details and to register, please click on the following link:

Congratulations to the High School Band for
receiving the All-Music Award from ISSMA ( Indiana State School Music Association). 
The All-Music Award is given to programs that earned a Gold Rating in all ISSMA events.  This is  the second year in a row that the Whitko Band has accomplished this, and only the second time since the inception of the award in 2003.

Daily Announcements

Attention Junior Girls- If you are interested in participating in the Distinguished Young Woman Scholarship program, there will be an orientation meeting today at 4:00 p.m. at the Whitley County Community Foundation in Columbia City.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Kessie.

Archery Members – There is a flyer in the office about the World Tournament in July.  Please stop by and pick one up.         

Cheerleading Parent Meeting-  Tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the commons.

Prom Pictures-pictures are available on the High School Webpage under Event Photos.

Drive Education- Students taking Driver Education this summer need to turn in money and application this week.

Volleyball Open Gym- Any High School girl interested in playing Volleyball next year, there will be an open gym tonight at 7:00 p.m. AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL.  Remember, the open gym is at the MIDDLE school. 

Color Guard- The Whitko Marching Pride is in need of more color guard members for next year.  If you are already planning on joining or interested in joining color guard this fall, please see Mr. Shepherd.  

Device Turn in- a reminder that everyone will be turning in his/her device along with its charger, keyboard, and stylus(for those with tablets) on the last school day in first period before your exam. 

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship- Any senior who is related to someone in the American Legion Auxiliary, please see guidance for a scholarship application.  Applications due May 30.

KYLA- Any current sophomore interested in KYLA next year, please see guidance for an application.  This is an opportunity to build leadership skills and network with others in the community.  You do NOT have to live in Kosciusko County.  Applications are due today.

Boys Soccer- Anyone interested in Boys Soccer for 2015-2016 season, please sign up with Mrs. Kessie and pick up a blue information sheet about summer practices.

PCI Technology Technician Intern- Do you have Ninja-like computer skills?  The tech department may have a job offer for you!  They are in need of one Technology Technician Intern for next school year.  This would be part of the PCI program, it would require a senior class student with enough credits for three periods of work release.  It is a paid position and would include working this summer.  If you’re interested stop by the office and pick up an application form.

Attention Seniors- It has come to our attention that some of the caps for graduation do not fit right.  Please try on your cap and if it does not fit, bring it to Mrs. Trixler as soon as possible.  Do not wait until graduation day to try the cap on!

Tomorrow seniors will need to report to their first period class to turn in any devices, and finish anything that still needs to be done.  Then seniors will report to the commons to have a free senior breakfast before practicing for graduation.  Photos will be taken at that time so seniors must bring in their caps and gowns. 

Summer School- Any student interested in taking an APEX summer school class, forms are available in the guidance office.  Cost is $30 per course.  There is limited space available and it is first come-first served.

2014-2015 Yearbooks- If you are interested in purchasing the 2014-2015 yearbook you can pick up an order form in the front office you or you have the option of ordering online at the following link 20014-2015 Yearbook
