Mandatory Student Council Meeting-Student Council will have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, November 5 at 8:00 a.m. in the auditorium.  There will be a representative from Whitley County Toys for Tots here to discuss the Columbia City vs Whitko school toy drive. Also discussed will be the November Shoe Recycling, Christmas Bell Ringing, Basketball concessions, Talent Show and fundraisers.  Please plan now on being at this meeting.

Attention All Prospective Baseball Players- There will be a short meeting this Friday after school at 3:15 in the commons.  We will discuss winter workouts and hand out open gym schedules.  If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Hisner.

Volleyball Awards Night- for players and their parents is scheduled for Monday, November 3rd, in the Commons at 7:15.”

Girls Soccer Awards Night- has been scheduled for Thursday, October 30th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons.  All girls soccer players are highly encouraged to attend.  Please invite your parents.

Attention All Seniors- Please check in with Mrs. Kessie in the Guidance office at your convenience to sign for your diploma.

Attention Seniors- Jostens representatives will be here on Thursday, October 30th during lunch in the cafeteria to take senior orders for your cap/gown/tassel unit and graduation products.  All seniors will need to order caps and gowns this year as they are different than the ones used in previous years.  Don’t forget your deposit money.   Senior announcement packets are available in the main office or go online at to see all Jostens products. 

Campus Life Dodgeball Tournament- against ALL area schools on Monday, November 3 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at New Haven High School. There will be hundreds of student on teams.  Let’s show them that Whitko is the toughest. The cost is $3 which covers admission and pizza!  Whitko students will meet at The Center in Columbia City at 5:30 and will return back around 9:30.  See the flyers around the building for The Center directions.  See Mr. Zawlocki to sign-up or for questions contact Danni Blackburn at 219-869-8667.

Senior Scholarships-High school seniors interested in learning more about scholarships, please check out the high school guidance homepage. 

Boys Soccer Awards Night- will be Tuesday night, October 28th, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lecture Room.  Please remember to invite your parents.

Winter Sport Parent Meeting- If you are planning on playing a WINTER sport, the Whitko High School Athletic Department will hold a PARENT meeting on Wednesday, October 29th, at 6:00 p.m. in the WHS Auditorium.  Information on guidelines, regulations, required paperwork, and much more will be discussed.  If you are planning to play a winter sport, please inform your parents of the meeting.

Semi–Formal- Semi-Formal will be held Saturday, November 1st in the WHS commons from 8-11 pm. The theme is “A Night to Sparkle.” Tickets are $12 or $15 at the door.  Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, October 14th thru Tuesday, October 28th.

Grace College Visit Days- Grace College invites high school students to learn more about next year's 9% tuition reduction and free textbooks for all students at Grace College during one of their fall campus visit days on Friday: November 14th. Go to to register today!
